I was on a commercial assignment in SE Asia in 1983.  I was wandering along the Singapore River near Clark Quay looking for images of shipping when I started looking at the buildings and seeing the multiple layers of paint and plaster showing through the aging walls.  These two story buildings have been replaced and rebuilt since then but this is a taste of what it looked like.  I loved the range of green and blue colors.
